National Museum
National Museum
The unequivocal gem of Wenceslas Square is the Neo-Renaissance historical building of the National Museum, which is adorned by the works of leading 19th-century sculptors and painters. The building was continuously used for museum and public purposes for over 100 years. In 2011–2018, it underwent an extensive renovation that transformed it into a modern museum space. This reconstruction also created a unique museum complex. You can take a connecting corridor with a unique multimedia exhibit leading to the neighbouring New Building of the National Museum, no less architecturally interesting. At the moment, permanent exhibits are in preparation and under construction.
