House at the Golden Ring

The House at the Golden Ring is a singular Gothic-Renaissance structure situated adjacent to Týn Church with surviving fragments of Late Gothic murals. The earliest records date from the 14th century. The complex layout of the house is the result of two separate medieval houses that merged into one.

The House at the Golden Ring presents the permanent exhibition Prague of Charles IV – A Medieval Town that introduces the metropolis and its transformation under Charles IV and other Luxembourg rulers. Another permanent exhibition Prague 1606 is a unique presentation of life in Prague under Rudolf II through the moving Sadeler’s Prospect. The house also organises temporary exhibitions and various public cultural events.
